Shanghai & Ningbo Ports suspend gate operations as typhoon In-Fa approaches

As typhoon In-Fa intensifies and edges gradually closer to the eastern coasts of China, local observatory has issued an alert warning of heavy rainfall and powerful winds in Zhejiang Province and therefore the surrounding areas.

In view of the weather , Shanghai & Ningbo Ports will temporarily suspend all gate operations, including the acceptance of export laden containers, from 00:00 on July 24th, 2021.

Our local teams have confirmed that our warehouses in containers, are still accepting cargo at the moment; however, operations could also be suspended should the weather worsen. In Shanghai, truckers with a confirmed booking can still deliver cargo to our facilities during the weekend, but the CFS won’t accept new reservations for delivery for July 24th and 25th. On the opposite hand, our Ningbo CFS will cancel delivery bookings between July 24th to 25th and have already notified your vendors.

Century offices in Shanghai & Ningbo Ports are maintaining normal operations as was common . Our local teams will closely monitor things and keep you posted.
