Cyclone Yaas Live Updates: Severe cyclone Yaas will intensify into a really severe cyclonic storm during next 12 hours, consistent with the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The storm would further intensify and reach near north Odisha and West Bengal coasts very on the brink of Chandbali-Dhamra port by the first morning of Wednesday, 26th May. “It is extremely likely to cross north Odisha-West Bengal coasts between Paradip and Sagar Island around Balasore, during noon of Wednesday, the 26th May as a really Severe Cyclonic Storm,” the IMD said. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has committed 112 teams in six states, including Odisha and West Bengal . many people are evacuated from coastal areas of both the states to safer places.

At 0830 IST, SCS ‘Yaas’ about 280 km south-southeast of Paradip. to accentuate further and cross north Odisha-West Bengal coasts between Paradip and Sagar Island on the brink of north of Dhamra and south of Balasore, during noon of Wednesday, the 26th May as a really Severe Cyclonic Storm.
