Knives Out was easily one among the simplest movies of 2019. The highly entertaining whodunit had a stellar cast led by Daniel Craig, Chris Evans (and his ), Ana de Armas and more, a side of sophistication conflict then some. Naturally, it left fans wanting more. Luckily, we’re doing exactly that because Netflix has acquired the rights to to Knives , not to sequence out. The films will mark the return of director Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig.
As per reports on Deadline, Netflix is about to sign a deal worth a whopping $400 million which is reportedly the very best the streamer has gone in its of acquisitions. But it’s all for the greater good – Knives Out 2 and Knives Out 3, the franchise we’d like and deserve. Rian Johnson who wrote the first film’s script has already scripted the sequels and is ready to supply the films with Ram Bergman. Daniel Craig is stepping back in his PI role as Benoit Blanc together with his excellent sleuthing skills. In a way, the upcoming film series is that the next neatest thing in Craig’s filmography as he completes five films as Bond after No Time To Die.
While the news of two Knives Out sequel films comes as a touch of a surprise, it wasn’t entirely unpredictable. during a Variety interview, Johnson had said that he’d wish to return for an additional film. Over a year ago, Craig told Entertainment Weekly that he’s on board for Knives Out sequels and just about anything Rian writes. He said, “Sure. I’d be over the moon. I mean, I’d do anything for Rian. If he writes something, I’ll in the hay . Of course, I will. Why wouldn’t I? I had plenty of fun doing it,”
