According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone Tauktae has further intensified into a “very severe cyclonic storm” and is predicted to succeed in the Gujarat coast in western India tonight . The IMD is forecasting heavy rainfalls and powerful winds therein region.

In view of the cyclone, Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) has suspended vessel berthing at Nhava Sheva Port since last Saturday, May 15th, 2021, and sailed out all container ships at berth later that night. Our local teams are performing from home and ensure that there has been no impact to your shipments. However, vessel backlog will likely cause delays and congestion after port activities resume.
